Job Summary: A physician or a health care professional, responsible for budget, revenue, expenditure, recruiting, managing, overseeing physicians, nurses, caregivers, various para-medical and administrative personnel and lead superior service quality for various practice activities within the allocated cluster, as per NABH, JCI and hospital standard.
Finance / Business
Responsible for medically directing and guiding patient care teams - physicians, para medical staff heads and administrative team heads for a seamless operation and best in class service to the patients and patient attendants
Supervise all processes across admissions, complete patient care, nursing care, billing, medical records, administrative support and ensure compliance to the NABH and hospital standards
Responsible for the strategic plan and implementation for the entire medical services, yearly budget, revenues and expenditure for the allocated cluster and units
Provide elementary directions for the critical branding and marketing requirements
Benchmark revenue parameters, attrition, best practices and WHO parameters (e.g. maternal mortality rates in a tertiary care etc.) to ensure being at par with the best standards
Collaborate with various committees, HODs and board toupdate, amend, and replace policies and take critical decisions
People
Responsible for recruitment of the consultants and performance assessment for them, along with the respective Clinical Head
Plan and conduct regular training for the consultants and the staffs and provide on-the-go guidance to the staffs across the teams
Responsible for the daily supervision of Consultants, Senior Registrar, Registrar, end to end management of fixed and visiting consultants, developing, retaining, engaging and exit requirements etc.
Customer
Oversee the communication between patient and doctors/ care givers and ensure there is no gap in understanding of information on either side. Continuously educate the consultants, financial counsellor and other care givers to ensure transparency of information shared
In case of emergencies/ critical incidents, provide guidance to the liaison officer or directly liaison with Police, Legal, Media etc. to sort out the issues and protect hospital’s interest and image
Take daily rounds of the floors and interact with the patients, their families and friends, Nursing Head, Patient Care Service Head and gauge the level of service being provided by the staff and satisfaction level of the customers
Lead the investigation for any medical/ non-medical incident reported by the patients, their families and friends and ensure appropriate closure of the issues and preventive action listing for future purposes
Liaison with overseas investors, external auditors, TPAs, Govt officials, Corporates, all internal HODs on a regular basis for various business needs
Ensure compliance to all the statutory regulations and licenses
Develop and implement best practices and ensure maintaining consistency of any medical /non-medical service offered
Responsible for seamless operation of all administrative activities and audit the processes randomly on a daily basis and identify deviations from set standards, propose corrective actions for each of these issues identified and also issues raised by patients and ensure appropriate and effective closure of each case
Responsible for daily overall reporting to the Chairman
Continuously strive to enhance the level of care provided, process followed and help reduce operational costs over time
Educational Qualifications: M.B.B.S, MD / MHA
Work Experience
Around 5-10 years of relevant experience with significant experience in a hospital administration role
Team leadership and managerial skills, proven ability to lead teams in a large set-up
Sound medical knowledge and administrative skills
Excellent Communication and Relationship skills
Planning, organizing and decision-making skills and handling stressful situations
Liaising and Networking skills
Implementation skills
